Sudhaavan Kumaran was a recipient of the Mitacs Globalink 2025 award, through which he completed a research internship in the Living with Assistive and Interactive Robots (LAIR) Lab at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

His research focused on the project Variable Stiffness Robotic Fingers Using Bistable Structures, building upon his initial work on Design & Integration of Skin-Based Tactile Sensors for Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). This research aimed to advance the development of robotic systems for improved human-robot interaction.
